La presidenta de la Cámara de Representantes de Estados Unidos, Nancy Pelosi, aseguró que no ha recibido respuestas sobre la invocación de la Enmienda 25 por parte del vicepresidente, Mike Pence.

A través de Twitter informó: «Esta mañana, el senador Chuck Schumer y yo llamamos al vicepresidente Pence para instarlo a que invocara la Enmienda 25 que permitiría al vicepresidente y a la mayoría del gabinete destituir al presidente (Donald Trump). Aún no hemos recibido respuesta del vicepresidente».
Indicó que las acciones de Trump ameritan que sea destituido del cargo, por lo que espera que Pence atienda la solicitud en la brevedad.
«Los peligrosos actos del presidente exigen su destitución inmediata de su cargo. Esperamos tener noticias del vicepresidente lo antes posible y recibir una respuesta positiva sobre si él y el gabinete honrarán su juramento a la Constitución ya los estadounidenses», sentenció.
Cabe destacar que Pelosi ya había advertido que de no obtener respuestas para invocar la Enmienda 25, el Congreso iniciará un juicio político contra Trump.
